Chaitra

Chaitra or Chait or चैत or चैत्र is a last month of Nepali Calendar which lies between second half of March and first half of April month. Ghode Jatra, chaite dashain and sometimes Falgupurnima are the festivals in the month of Chaitra. Chaitra month consists of either 30 or 31 days. This month lies in the Spring season or Basanta Ritu in Nepali. The weather is usually hot in the month of Chaitra. There is occasional rainfall in this month in Nepal. Pre-monsoon is effectively activated in this month causing occasional thunderstrom after the midday. Farmers continue busy in potato cultivation in the month of Chaitra. This is the month Nepals National flower Rhoderandron or Laligurans starts blooming.
