Ashoj

Ashwin or Ashoj or असोज or आश्विन is a sixth month of Nepali Calendar which lies between second half of September and first half of October month. This is the month of Biggest festival Dashain. People who celebrate Dashain festival seems busy returning home and shopping. Ghatasthapana, Phulpati, Mahaasthami, Mahanawami, Bijaya Dashami, Dashain, Papangkusha Ekadashibrat, Kojagrat Purnima are the festivals of Dashain that usally lies in the month of Ashwin. Ashwin month consists of either 30 or 31 days. This month lies in the Autumn season or Sharad Ritu in Nepali. The weather is very cool in Ashoj with a little rainfall. The weather in this month is loved by all people. This is the month when monsoon ends in Nepal.
