Magh

Magh or माघ is a tenth month of Nepali Calendar which lies between second half of January and first half of February month. Maghe Shakranti, Tamu Lhosar, saraswoti puja, Martyrs Day, Basanta panchami are the festivals in the month of Magh. Magh is the month for people to read Shree swasthani brat katha. Magh month consists of either 29 or 30 days. This month lies in the winter season or Shishir Ritu in Nepali. The weather is very cold in Magh. There is very low to no rainfall in this month in Nepal. Farmers are usually busy in potato cultivation in the month of Magh.
