Dahi chewra khane din
Dahi chewra khane din, Curd and Bitten rice eating day in English, is celebrated on the 15th of Ashad Month of Bikram Sambat Calendar in Nepal. It is considered as the end of paddy plantation. This day falls when monsoon continues most effectively.On this day people eat dahi (curd), chewra(bitten rice) with banana and celebrate. This month is considered very valuable to farmers because its the season to plant the paddy. People assumed on the 15th of the Ashad most of the paddy plantation is performed. There is no public holiday on this day.
