Ganatantra diwas

Ganatantra diwas, known as Republic Day of Nepal in english, is a public holiday in Nepal that cemmemorates the creation of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal on May 28th 2008. After the establishment of thr republic civil strife was ended.

Ganatantra diwas is celebrated in the capital city Kathmandu, at the Sainik Manch in Tudikhel. On this day, ceremonial parades take place on the same place. Parades are performed as a tribute to Nepal, its unity in diversity and rich cultural heritage.
